Kuala Lumpur, 19 November 2001 - eBworx Ltd, has secured a contract to develop the Underwriting, Claims and Housing Loans Origination system for Aetna Universal Insurance Berhad (Aetna), an associate company of the ING Group, a leading global financial institution based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
eBworx Malaysia Sdn Bhd will be responsible for developing and installing a comprehensive solution aimed at optimizing Aetna's operational efficiency through increased productivity, enhanced customer service and cost effectiveness. The project is scheduled to be deployed over eight months.
Aetna has chosen to implement eBworx's flagship Housing Loan Origination System which will streamline Aetna's approval and workflow processes by automatically routing loan applications from origination to disbursement.
In addition, the integrated solution for Aetna consists of several other components, including a Digital Business Center (DBC) that will handle straight-through processing and management; a customized Underwriting System that will process and track the underwriting process and a Claims System to ensure timely settlement of claims.
