Melbourne, 17 December 2009 - Just two (2) months after eBworx Berhad (‘EBWORX’) announces its award win with the MSC Malaysia APICTA 2009 (Best of Financial Applications) at National level, the company’s flagship banking software Digital Credit Management System (DCMS) has gone on to score a win for Malaysia at the Asia Pacific level for the same category.
At the Asia Pacific-level Awards which was held in Melbourne, Group CEO Tan Suan Fong says, “We are totally elated with this result. Not only it is a momentous win for eBworx which has been around for 11 years, but for the entire local software industry as well because it goes to show that Malaysian-developed software can reach world-class quality.”
eBworx’s Asia Pacific win is mainly contributed to the fact that its flagship banking application DCMS commands the dominant market share for credit management software in Malaysia, so far processing up to RM70 billion (USD 20.6 billion) worth of Retail Loans in Malaysia.
“In South East Asia, eBworx is the largest provider of Credit Management Software in the top four economies of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.”
“This also translates to a clear domination at 25% of the market share in Malaysia – which in simple terms means that a quarter of all Retail Loans in Malaysia are processed by eBworx DCMS,” says Tan.
According to Ratings Agency Malaysia (RAM)’s Banking Bulletin, as of March 2009 the total value of Retail Loans was RM282,197 million and is defined as all credit card receivables, automobile and residential property in Malaysia.
The eBworx DCMS is the critical Credit Management Software application that manages the end-to-end processing cycle of Banks’ ‘bread-and-butter’ of loans and financing.
“Today, eBworx DCMS is the most used credit management software in South East Asia, consistently beating competition from United States, Europe, Australia and India,” ends Tan.
