eBworx Returns to Black with RM1.9mil Net Profit
Petaling Jaya, 25 April 2006 - eBworx Bhd returned to the black with a net profit of RM1.9mil for the quarter ended March 31, 2006.
The regional financial solutions specialist incurred a net loss of RM2.7mil in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company achieved the profit from a revenue of RM7.7mil, up from the RM5.6mil recorded in the same quarter in 2005.
The net profit translates into earnings per share of 0.93 sen per 10 sen share.
Speaking after the company's AGM yesterday, chief executive officer Tan Suan Fong said progress of billings from several ongoing projects as well as new ones secured in the first quarter of this year had contributed to the positive results.
“With a healthy order book, the board of directors expects a satisfactory performance for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2006,” Tan said.
