eBworx Awarded Contract from Indonesian Bank

Contract to Implement DCMS for PT Bank Permata, Indonesia

Kuala Lumpur, 12 April 2004 - eBworx Berhad has made further inroads into the Indonesian financial arena with the award of a contract to implement its flagship Digital Credit Management System (DCMS) for PT Bank Permata, Indonesia.

The contract involves the licensing and implementation of the DCMS which will be utilized by Bank Permata’s consumer banking services.

The project which is expected to be completed within six months will contribute positively towards the earnings of eBworx.

Bank Permata is a commercial bank in Indonesia and currently operates 328 branches in the country.

DCMS is one of the modular software applications of eBworx’s Digital Center Suite. It is designed to provide a comprehensive loan application workflow and tracking system for banking organizations to streamline the loan originating process.

The software application comes with a built-in intelligent workflow and credit risk engine. DCMS assists banks to improve loan processing efficiency, control credit risk and track loan performance portfolio. It will also assist banks to move towards Basel II compliant.

“PT Bank Permata is the fourth Indonesian bank which has chosen to use eBworx’s products. The other three are PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. PT Bank Lippo, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk,” said Mr Tan Suan Fong, chief executive officer of eBworx.

“Having established some important reference sites in Indonesia, other banks in the country are beginning to realize that our products are relevant, practical and meet international financial arena requirements,” he added.

This deal from Bank Permata comes hot on the heels of the deal from Hua Xia Bank, China earlier this month. The Hua Xia Bank contract was also to implement DCMS in the bank’s more than 500 branches and offices across China.
