eBworx to Implement Innovative Cash Management Solution for Bank Central Asia

Jakarta, 13 March 2002 - eBworx, a leading financial solutions specialist in South-East Asia, today announced that it has been awarded a contract to deploy its flagship Cash Management product at Bank Central Asia (BCA), the largest retail bank in Indonesia.

Called Digital Cash Management (DCM), this web-based corporate solution is designed to reduce a client's dependence on its branch network for routine banking transactions. This scalable system will lower service costs, increase banking efficiency and enhance the overall banking experience of a bank's corporate clients. DCM is part of eBworx's "Digital Banker" suite of products developed over the past several years and has been adopted by several banks in South-East Asia to complement their operations.

The project will be implemented over a four-month period and involves deploying two versions of DCM. The first version comes with standard features and is targeted at small and medium enterprises. The emphasis is on ease of use and mass roll-out. The second, more advanced, version is meant for large organizations and incorporates complex functionalities such as corporate workflow, liquidity management, treasury, trade finance amongst others.

"This contract from such a high profile client is very timely for us. BCA is one of Indonesia's leading banks, especially in the area of e-banking strategy and implementation. We expect this project to increase our visibility in the region as we grow our business within ASEAN. It will serve as a good reference site for other potential clients," said Mr. Tan Suan Fong, Managing Director of eBworx in Malaysia.

Rapid globalization in the financial services sector has prompted many local Asian banks to review their business strategies and cost structure with a view to remain competitive through investments in information technology infrastructure aimed at enhancing the banking experience. eBworx has identified this trend in ASEAN and is positioning itself to meet the needs of the financial services industry in these markets.
