Kuala Lumpur, 20 November 2001 - eBworx Ltd, has received the Microsoft Partners Award for "E-Commerce Solution of the Year" for 2001 from Microsoft in Malaysia.
The award, conferred on eBworx Malaysia Sdn Bhd, is in recognition of its efforts in developing the first wireless banking application in Malaysia.
The solution developed by eBworx Malaysia has helped the bank to drastically reduced the need for printed reports, eliminated the use of microfiche, improved overall operational efficiencies, but more significantly enhanced the bank's customer experience in banking services.
This award reflects eBworx Malaysia's ability to consistently develop innovative, industry-leading solutions for its clients in the financial services industry.
Earlier this year IDC, the world's leading provider of technology intelligence & industry analysis for the information technology industry, featured eBworx Malaysia as one of the "Local Software Heroes in Malaysia" in its published research on the Asia Pacific software industry.
